Will Austin – San Antonio be the next Dallas – Ft. Worth?

The 13 county area that encompasses Austin – San Antonio is booming.  This corridor’s population is anticipated to grow by 1.44 million people before 2030.  Most of the municipalities along the Interstate 35 corridor connecting Austin and San Antonio are expected to see population gains from 20% to 70%.

Cities on the fringe of Austin such as San Marcos, Kyle, and Buda, have been experiencing rapid growth for several years.  As the gaps between these towns grow ever smaller, many are viewing the Austin – San Antonio corridor to be the next Dallas – Ft. Worth.
